Call for sensitive evaluation of exam results
It’s that time of the year again - bold headlines celebrating exam success.
But for some young people there is disappointment: disappointment that can be very hard to handle.
We must encourage them to see the positive side.
Book now for next Student Suicide Prevention Seminar
Following highly acclaimed events in Accrington and York our next one-day student suicide prevention training seminar takes place in Bristol on 23rd September.
The keynote speaker is David Gunnell, Professor of Epidemiology at the University of Bristol.
He heads a programme that will provide an insight into some of the predisposing factors and possible signs of suicidal behaviour,
information on good practice and guidance on how PAPYRUS resources can be used to support staff and students.
Every year in the UK between 600 and 800 young people between the age of 15 and 24 take their own lives.
Some of them are students. This should be a concern to everyone engaged in universities and further education.
